Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account data: Email address and name (via Clerk authentication).

Photos: Base photos and garment images you upload.

Generated content: Try-on result images.

Extension data: If you use the Layrd browser extension, we may collect product image URLs, image metadata such as alt text and dimensions, and the page URL where an item was found when you choose to scan a page or save an item for try-on.

Usage data: Try-on counts, feature usage, and basic analytics.

Payment data: Handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your photos are used solely to generate try-on results. We do not sell, share, or use your photos for AI training. Generated images are stored in your account for your access.

If you use the browser extension, extension data is used only to identify product images, let you select items on supported pages, import garments into Layrd, authenticate your session, and generate try-on results.

3. Data Storage

Data is stored on Neon (database) and Vercel Blob (images), both hosted in the United States. Authentication is managed by Clerk. All data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS.

The browser extension may also temporarily store selected items and related state in browser session storage on your device to keep the extension working during your session.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • + Clerk — authentication
  • + Stripe — payment processing
  • + Google (Gemini) — AI image generation and classification
  • + Replicate — AI model inference
  • + Vercel — hosting and image storage
  • + Neon — database

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all associated data (photos, garments, looks) is permanently removed within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

You can export, modify, or delete your data at any time through your account settings. To request complete data deletion, use the "Delete Account" option in Settings or contact us.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. If you use the Layrd browser extension, the extension may access essential authentication cookies for Layrd solely to verify your signed-in session and make authenticated requests on your behalf. We use analytics cookies (with your consent) to understand how users interact with Layrd.

8. Browser Extension

The Layrd browser extension can scan the active page for product images when you request it, display selection overlays, and send selected image URLs and related page URLs to Layrd so you can save garments and create try-ons. The extension does not sell this data, does not use it for advertising, and does not use it for any purpose unrelated to the extension's core functionality.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification.
